Reasons for a visit
What people come in for
People come for many reasons. This is what neighbors tell us, not a list of what we promise to fix.
Aches and stiffness
What people mention most often.
A stiff neck or low back
Tight shoulders after a shift on your feet or at a desk
Sore knees or hips
Stress and sleep
The pace of a full household.
A mind that won't slow down at night
Trouble falling asleep
Feeling worn thin by the end of the week
Long days at work
When the body asks for a rest.
Tiredness after overtime
Aches from lifting, standing or caregiving
Care alongside physical therapy or chiropractic
Just curious
Plenty of people start here.
Wanting to see what acupuncture is like
Wanting a quiet hour in a busy week
A neighbor who said to try it
Good to know
What acupuncture does not do
- It does not replace your doctor, your medicine or emergency care.
- It does not promise a result, and results vary from person to person.
- It does not stand in for therapy, physical therapy or other care you need.
- It is not a reason to stop or change a medicine without asking your prescriber.
When to see a doctor instead
See a doctor first for sudden, severe pain, chest pain, trouble breathing, a fever with a stiff neck, new weakness or numbness, or loss of bladder or bowel control. In an emergency, call 911.
Not sure it's for you?
Call or write and ask. We will tell you honestly whether acupuncture is worth a try.
